I return herewith copy No. 20 of the Defence Scheme 1897 to be destroyed, it being no longer needed.

It was used in preparing the present revise & was being retained by the Secretary

local Defence Committee as the reference copy.

For this purpose however it will be more convenient to retain copy No. 16 just returned by Captain

Jellicoe, which has not so many MS interlineal corrections and erasures &c as Copy No 20.
